Kenneth W. "Hillbilly" Harrison

Kenneth W. "Hillbilly" Harrison, 74, of Plainfield, passed away Thursday, September 26th, 2024. He was born April 11th, 1950 to his parents Kermit Harrison and Lillie Christman (Moffitt). He married his wife Deborah Ann Harrison (Willard) on November 23,1990.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Deborah of Plainfield; four children: Bryan Harrison (Shelly) of Camby, Mike Bennett (Kelly) of Cloverdale, Mark Bennett of Cloverdale, and Tom Miller (Tracy) of Avon; 10 grandchildren: Zach, Rylee, Karlee, David, Danny, Nicole, Cole, Josh, Tara, and Casey; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Judy Hale of Kingsport, TN; one half sister, Elaine Skelton of Kingsport, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth is preceded in death by both of his parents; and one brother, Keith Harrison.

Kenneth worked in truck repair for General Motors for 30 years before retiring in 2005. He loved to paint and restore cars. Racing was a passion of Kenneth's. He loved to build cars, was a crew chief for many years, and in the 80's, won the ASA Series Championship. In his early years he enjoyed golfing. Kenneth was also a snowbird, his favorite place in the winter was Florida. He was known by many to be a loving husband, whose generosity towards others never went unnoticed. He had a caring and helpful personality and in the time of need, he was the one you could depend on the most.

Cremation has been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A memorial gathering will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth's memory to Riley Children's Hospital, 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202
