Kenneth Barlow

Kenneth Lloyd Barlow, 79 years of age passed away Friday, August 22, 2008. Born at Camby on August 26, 1928, he was the son of the late Hallie Barlow and Irma Allison Barlow Whitlow. He was a 1947 graduate of Mooresville High School. In the 1950's he owned Barlow's Garage in Mooresville. He was the service manager at Costin Buick in Plainfield for many years, then owned Barlow Automotive in Mooresville until his retirement. An avid auto racing fan, he raced and owned modified stock cars in the 1950's, and he was a mechanic for sprint car driver Van Gurley for several years. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Olleman Copeland Barlow, whom he married on February 2, 1987; 4 Children: Cheryl (Steve) Edwards of Mooresville, Jeri (Bob) O'Neal of Greenfield, Rick Barlow of Indianapolis, and Robin Barlow of Whiteland; 5 stepchildren: Lorris "Butch" Copeland, Donna Jo Copeland, Russell Copeland, and Allen Copeland all of Mooresville, and Cherri Lu Sellers of Mahomet, ILL; 6 Grandchildren; 6 Step grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; and 6 Great Step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Maurice "Bud" Barlow, and sister, Katherine Short. Calling hours for Kenneth will be from 2-5pm, Sunday, August 24, 2008. There will be a Graveside Service at 11am, Monday, August 25, 2008 at Mooresville Cemetery where Kenneth will be laid to rest.
