Kathryn Cravens-Ladd

Kathryn L. (Altman) Cravens-Ladd, 95, of Brownsburg, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2018. Kathryn was born in Brazil, IN on December 18, 1922 to the late Clarence and Ella (Smith) Altman. Kathryn grew up in Brazil, IN and graduated from Van Buren High School in 1941. Following graduation she became a permanent resident of Decatur Township. Kathryn worked as a gear operator for Detroit Diesel Allisons in Indianapolis for three years, then she worked for L.S. Ayres for 21 years in the credit department. Kathryn loved sewing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Kay Ann McBride of Brownsburg, IN; two grandchildren: Julie Archer and Steve Shanklin; three great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Arnold Cravens; and second husband, Frank Ladd and 14 siblings. Private graveside services will take place at a later date in Calcutta Cemetery in Harmony, IN. Arrangements are entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville.
