Karen L. Garrison

Karen L. (Browning) Garrison, 86, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026. She was born on October 18, 1939 in Mt. Vernon, IL to the late Winston H. and Virginia L (Kirk) Browning. Karen married the late Joe D. Garrison on August 23, 1957.

Karen was a 1957 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon, IL.

Karen was a proud homemaker and enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. She was involved in election polling and attended First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon, IL.

Karen is survived by two sons: Jeff Garrison (Michelle) of California and Jim Garrison of Indianapolis; two grandchildren: Kegan Garrison of New York and Briana Brickell of New York; two great grandchildren: James and Caroline Brickell; and brother, Jim Browning (Henry) of California.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service, Mooresville.
