Julia Strong

Julia Rene Strong, 53 years of age passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008. She was born January 25, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Paul Dewayne Lawson Keller and Jennie (Allison) Wellenkamp of Plainfield, IN. She married Larry G. Strong of Danville, IN on April 13, 1979. Julia has lived in Danville for 20 years and in Indianapolis for 30 years. She was a 1973 graduate of Southport High School. She was a member of the Lynhurst Order of the Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron of Monrovia Order of the Eastern Star. Julia was the Group Leader for Detroit Diesel Allison Plant 3 in Indianapolis for 12 years. She is survived by her Husband, Larry G. Strong of Danville, IN; 3 Children: Jennifer Eugelau of Whiteland, IN, Susan McClusky of Indianapolis, IN, and Larry W. Strong of Indianapolis, IN; Mother, Jennie (Allison) Wellenkamp of Plainfield, IN; and 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson. Calling hours for Julia will be from 4-8pm, Friday, September 5, 2008 and from 9-10am, Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 10am, Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary. Julia will be laid to rest at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield, IN.
