Judy Helen (Bryant) Spencer, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, September 11th, 2025. She was born August 25th, 1949 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to her parents John Denton and Lucy Ann (Vibbert) Bryant. She married Charles Allen Spencer on September 25th, 1965 and the two spent nearly 60 beautiful years together.
Judy is survived by her husband, Charles Allen Spencer of Indianapolis; her two children: Richard "Rick" Spencer (Michelle) of Mooresville and Chastie Spencer-Cornett (Greg) of Indianapolis; four grandchildren: Zachery Todd Spencer (Chelsea), Zoey Elizabeth Cornett, Ezekiel Sebastian Spencer, and Zona Mae Rose Spencer; two great grandchildren: Zage Lee Spencer and Zayla Rhea Spencer; and four siblings: Arliene Patterson (Michael), Patty Braham (Joey), Tommy Bartley (Sarah), and Tonya Bartley.
Judy is preceded in death by both of her parents; three brothers: Lonnie Bryant, Jimmy Bryant, and Larry Bryant; and grandchild: Nevin Allen Spencer.
Judy dedicated 36 years to Technical Support at Napa Balkamp in Indianapolis before retiring in 2014. Her commitment to her community shone through when she joined the Community Justice Academy in 2015 and became a member of C.E.R.T.S. for Marion County, actively participating in local emergency response efforts.
She found joy in every moment spent with her grandkids, celebrating their achievements and sharing treasured experiences. With a passion for thrifting, Judy embraced each shopping adventure and relished the thrill of visiting casinos and playing the lottery. Her youthful spirit was ignited by a love for horse racing.
She loved spending time at the family farm in Birdseye and enjoyed creating lasting memories as she cooked and decorated cakes with her daughter for weddings, showcasing her creativity and talent. Known for her open-hearted nature and candid honesty, Judy inspired everyone around her, embodying love and generosity as she delighted in spoiling her grandkids.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 12 to 1 pm on Wednesday, September 17th at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm following visitation at the funeral home. Judy will be laid to rest at Fairfield Friends Cemetery in Camby.
