Judith Carolyn "Carol" Phillips

Judith Carolyn "Carol" (Berry) Phillips, 74 , of Martinsville, passed away peacefully at home Monday, October 28th, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born on May 17, 1945 in McAlester, Oklahoma to James and Sarah (Harvelle) Berry. She resided in McAlester, Oklahoma for 10 years and then was a resident of Waco, Texas for 20 years. She later moved to Martinsville where she lived for 26 years. She married Archie Phillips in 1961. Carol is survived by her four loving children, Jeffrey Phillips of Florida, Jimmy (Sharon) Phillips of Tipton, Sandra (Danny) Gayde of Martinsville, and Jonathan (Carrie) Phillips of Ellettsville; ten grandchildren, Anthony (Megan) Gayde, Dean (Jane) Ryderson, Deric (Morgan) Gayde, Debbra Phillips, Angel Phillips, Justin Phillips, Rebecca (Charles Jr.) Johnson, Melissa (Justin) Bronnenberg, Kimberly Phillips and Amber Phillips; 12 great grandchildren, Gavin, Ayden, Sophia, Mila, Axl, Blayden, Dexten, Declan, Claire, Alicia, Camden, and Alex; two brothers, Ronald and Roger Berry; one sister, Nancy Berry; and also many nieces and nephews. Carol is preceded in death by her Husband, Archie Phillips; both of her parents; one daughter, Deborah Phillips; and one brother, James Berry. Carol was a homemaker and her biggest love was her family and spending time with them. She loved to play games, especially with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking. Family and Friends may show their love and support from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, November 1st and from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, November 2nd at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 2nd at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Monrovia.
