Judith Kaye Moore

Judith Kaye "Judy" (Patton) Moore, 70, of Mooresville, passed away Sunday, August 29th, 2021. She was born January 18th, 1951 in Indianapolis to her parents, Robert and Betty (McAllister) Patton, where she lived for 40 years. She married Lawrence James Moore on August 12th, 1988. She was a resident of Mooresville for the last 30 years. Judy is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Lawrence James Moore of Mooresville; two children: Jeremy Mills of West Newton and Melissa Mills of Indianapolis; two step children: Ingrid Stadler of Fortville and Andy Moore of Indianapolis; six grandchildren: Jake Stadler, Morgan Mills, Dale Mills, Julia Stadler, Mason Mills and Genevieve Stadler; one sister, Denise Reuter of Greenwood; several nieces and nephews; and her daughter in law, Cindy Mills. Judy is preceded in death by both of her parents, and one sister, Sherry Lambert. Judy was a 1969 graduate of Decatur Central High School and later received her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University. She was an Elementary School Teacher at Decatur Township schools, Lynwood Elementary School for 15 years. Judy was a member of Camby Community Church. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends during holidays and special events. Judy loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family. A private gathering and graveside service will be held at a later date at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
