Juanita Mitchell

Juanita Mitchell, 90, of Camby, died Sunday, December 18, 2005. She was born October 6, 1915 in New Albany, IN to the late Wallace Padget and to the late Edith Arie (Chaney) Padget. She was married on May 14, 1935 to the late Lloyd Mitchell. She was a homemaker. She was an avid reader and very active at the Mooresville Senior Center. She also loved to dance and to play the piano and the organ. She was formerly a member of the Mooresville Kitchen Band. She is survived by her 3 children: Thomas Mitchell of Indianapolis, Beverly McCaslin of Indianapolis, and Larry Landis of Cicero. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and 1 sister, Lucille New of Mooresville. She is preceded in death by her son, Lloyd Mitchell; 3 brothers: Frank, Dave, and Charles Padget; 6 sisters: Mildred Schwartz, Alice Spurgeon, Ruth Locke, Helen Clevenger, Louise Landis, and Jean Knott. The calling will be from 2-8pm, Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 12 noon, Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Jones Family Mortuary. Oscar Weekly will be officiating the service. She will be laid to rest at Round Hill Cemetery.
