Joyce E. Wood, 68, of Cloverdale, passed away Saturday, September 11th, 2021. She was born September 25th, 1952 in Indianapolis to her parents, William Quentin and Lucille Ellen (Wasoski) Wood, where she was a resident for most of her life. Joyce is survived by her companion Roy Hapney; her two daughters: Rebecca Dean of Indianapolis and Tamara (Robert) Revel of Indianapolis; six grandchildren: Matthew, Bobby, Joe, Jonathan, Zachary and Nicholas; seven great grandchildren; many other extended grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers: David (Missy) and Jim Wood; and one sister, Shirley Wood. Joyce is preceded in death by both of her parents and her great grandson, Daniel Dean. Joyce was a 1970 graduate of Decatur Central High School. She worked as X-Ray Technician for Wishard Hospital for 25 years. Joyce attended Native American Ceremonies and an avid Sundance supporter. She enjoyed spending time outside and finding rocks to add to her collection. Joyce loved camping, fishing, and hiking. She was a very spiritual person and in tune with nature. Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, September 16th and from 9 to 10 am on Friday, September 17th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 10am on Friday, September 17th at the funeral home. Joyce will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton.
