Joyce Gault

Joyce M. Gault, 79, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on December 13, 2012. Joyce was born to William P. & Elane M. (Green) Gray on October 25, 1933 in Indianapolis, IN. Joyce married George Earl Gault on June 13, 1950. Joyce was a member of the class of 1951 from George Washington High School. Joyce was a Seamstress for Neff Cleaners in Indianapolis, IN for 5 years. Joyce attended First General Baptist Church. Joyce loved reading, sewing, spending time with the grandchildren & great grandchildren as well as being an avid I.U. basketball fan. Joyce has lived in Indianapolis, IN all of her life. Joyce is survived by her husband of 62 years, George Earl Gault of Indianapolis, IN; 5 children, Diana (Tim) VanSlyke of Camby, IN, Lynn Gault of Plainfield, IN, Michael (Patti) Gault of Indianapolis, IN, Terry (Mike) Bird of Nashville, IN & Matthew (Deanna) Gault of Indianapolis, IN; 11 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Nora Poole of Brownsburg, IN, Arlene Jacks of Plainfield, IN & Sandy Medaris of Pittsboro, IN & a sister in law, Doris Gray of Lafayette, IN. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, William P. & Elane M. (Green) Gray, a daughter, Tracy Harris, a grandson, Michael Gault Jr.& 2 brothers, Billy & Don Gray. Calling hours for Joyce will be from 2-6 pm, Sunday, December 16, 2012 & 10:30-11:30 am, Monday, December 17, 2012 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary. Larry Johnson will officiate a Celebration of Life Service for Joyce at 11:30 am, Monday, December 17, 2012 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center. Joyce will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
