Josephine Vanslyke

Josephine VanSlyke 91, of Plainfield, passed away July 6, 2023. She was born January 10, 1932 in Bloomington, IN, to the late James W. and Della C. (Bradley) Morrison.

Josephine was a graduate of Bloomington High School. She married Roy S. Van Slyke, June 18, 1950, was a member of Plainfield Apostolic Church and was a former member of Calvary Tabernacle for many years. Josephine was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Family Mortuary, 4165 E. Allison Road, Mooresville, IN.

Josephine is survived by her husband of 73 years, Roy S. VanSlyke; children, James L. VanSlyke (Carol), Karen Sue Martin (Gary), Sheryl J. Raney (Bob) and Rebecca J. Black; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Final care and arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis.
