Joseph Jason Bucy 85, of Mooresville, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away 11:15 a.m. Sunday, May 8, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers, Beech Grove. He was born February 24, 1920 in Spencer, IN to Clell & Sarah (Clark) Bucy who precede him in death. He married Shirley (Coble) Bucy on July 6, 1946. He was a Construction Superintendent for 30 years for several construction companies including P.R. Duke and Carlstedt Construction. He retired in 1985. He was a member of Camby Community Church, Carpenters Union #60 & Greenwood VFW. He was also a World War II Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by son, Stephen V. Bucy; 2 brothers & 3 sisters. He is survived by his wife; Shirley (Coble) Bucy; 2 children: Deanna L. Coates & Edward A. Bucy; 7 grandchildren; 3 brothers: William Wayne, Everett & Leonard Bucy; 2 sisters: Ruth Imogene & Mary Martha Borland; and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville, with calling there 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2005. Charles Paxton will be officiating services. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery, West Newton. Memorial contributions may be made to Camby Community Church.
