Joanna M Pottorff

Joanna M (Long) Pottorff, 86, of Mooresville, passed away Wednesday, January 26th, 2022. She was born January 31st, 1935 in Spencer, Indiana to her parents, Renos Oliver and Goldie Marie (Graham) Long, where she lived for 19 years. She married the late James L. "Jim" Pottorff Sr. on December 31st, 1954. Although she was a resident of Indianapolis for most of her life, she most recently resided in Mooresville for the last five years. Joanna is survived by her two sons: Jim Pottorff Jr. of Mooresville and Michael (Linda) Pottorff of Martinsville; one daughter, Barbara (Chris) Sharp of Greenwood; five grandchildren: James B. Pottorff, Heather M. Brewer, Stewart G. Pottorff, Quentin C. Sharp, and Lincoln C. Sharp; and two great granddaughters: Aurora and Tailor. Joanna is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, James L. "Jim" Pottorff Sr.; one grandson, Dakota Pottorff; two brothers: Lester Long and Everett Long; and three sisters: Evelyn Clark, Erma Baker, and Loraine Long. Joanna was a Homemaker who enjoyed taking care of others. She loved to babysit as well. Joanna took pride in cooking and baking for her family. She loved family gatherings especially for the holidays. A private visitation will be held at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
