Jill Marie Errett

Jill Marie (Bartnick) Errett, a strong and devoted family woman, 42, of Plainfield, passed away Sunday, September 1st, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 27th, 1981, in Sisseton, South Dakota to her parents Jeff and Jody (Weinkauf) Bartnick. She married her husband, Zachary David Errett on June 30, 2006.

Jill is survived by her husband, Zachary of Plainfield; two loving children: daughter, Bailey and son, Ethan of Plainfield; her parents; Jeff and Jody (Weinkauf) Bartnick of South Dakota; father-in-law, David Errett of Martinsville; and brother, Jared Bartnick (Kayla) of New Effington, South Dakota. Jill is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Merle Bartnick; maternal grandparents, Norbert and Ethel Weinkauf; and mother-in-law, Ginny Errett.

Jill was a 2000 graduate of Sisseton High School in Sisseton, South Dakota. Upon graduation, she attended North Dakota State University where she received her bachelor's degree in Family Science and Child Development in 2004. Jill worked as a Senior Payment and Fraud Specialist for Elements Financial for 21 years. She was a member of Plainfield Christian Church where she was involved in the women's Bible study. She enjoyed following her children in sports and attending their games. Jill was kind, an organizer by nature and planned everything she did. She was a great friend, an amazing mother and a supportive and loving wife. Jill was strong and devoted to her family.

The Errett family would like to extend special thanks to everyone who was involved in taking care of Jill during her time of need.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 3:00-8:00 pm on Sunday September 8, 2024 and from 9:30 -10:30 am on Monday September 9, 2024 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center in Mooresville. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am following visitation on Monday September 9, 2024 at the banquet center. Cremation has been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A private burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jill's honor may be made to the Zach Errett Family, in care of Elements Financial, 225 S. East Street Suite 300, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Proceeds received will be applied to Bailey and Ethan's 529 account which will be used for post-secondary education expenses.
