Jesse Franklin

Jesse Eugene "Gene" Franklin, 95, of Camby, IN, died on November 18, 2012. Jesse was born to Howard T. & Dora (Hutchin) Franklin on February 19, 1917 in Lyons, IN. Jesse was a World War II Navy Veteran. Jesse was a Mechanic for Detroit Diesel Allison Plant 5 for 35 years, retiring in 1980. Jesse was a member of the UAW Union. Jesse has lived in Camby, IN for the past 38 years. Jesse loved to tinker with motors. Jesse is survived by 2 daughters, Sue (Larry) Doty of Greenwood, IN & Bonnie (Don) Pope of Mooresville, IN; a step daughter, Judith Ault of Bloomington, IN; 6 grandchildren, Shay Franklin Odell, Mike Franklin, Mandi Grogan, Kevin, Jeremy & Aaron Doty; 9 great grandchildren, Zane & Zeke Odell, Carlie Grogan, Aleena, Mitchell, Sherah & Jesse Franklin, Cooper & Layla Doty. Calling hours for Jesse will be from 4-8 pm, Tuesday, November 20, 2012 & 9-10 am, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Stan Icenogle will officiate the 10 am funeral service on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary.
