Jerry Woods

Jerry Woods, 72, of Mooresville, went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2012. Jerry was born to Elmer N. & Pearl (Barber) Woods on January 3, 1940 in Franklin, KY. Jerry married Dietlind (Giffhorn) Woods on November 14, 1987. Since 1976, Jerry has owned & operated Economy Heating & Cooling in Mooresville, IN. Jerry has been a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church since 1984. Jerry was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol for several years. Jerry enjoyed flying and body building in his younger years. Jerry was a gospel singer and performed at area nursing homes. Jerry has lived in Mooresville, IN for 32 years, Indianapolis, IN for 30 years and his birthplace of Franklin, KY for 10 years. Jerry is survived by his wife, Dietlind (Giffhorn) Woods of Mooresville, IN; 3 sons, Jeff (Lisa) Woods of Mooresville, IN, Jod (Stephanie) Woods of Martinsville, IN & Jason (Teresa) Woods of Brownsburg, IN; 17 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren;a daughter, Nicole (Tom) Barnard of IL;and a son, Daniel (Rhonda) Marshall of Martinsville, IN. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer N. & Pearl (Barber) Woods & a son, Jerry N. Woods. Calling for Jerry will be from 4-8pm, Monday, April 16, 2012 & 10-11am, Tuesday, April 16, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary. Everett Barnard & Brandon Sichting will officiate the 11am funeral service on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary. Jerry will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery.
