Jeffrey Canary

Jeffrey D. Canary, 64 years of age passed away Friday, April 3, 2009. He was born August 30, 1944 in Shoals, IN to the late Cecil George and Rachel E. (Stewart) Canary. Jeffrey lived in Indianapolis, IN for 50 years and in Shoals, IN for 14 years. He was a member of the Indianapolis Masonic Lodge #669, UAW Local #23, and also loved fishing and working in the yard. Before retiring in 2003, he was a Crane Operator for General Motors in Indianapolis, IN for 36 years. He is survived by 2 Daughters, Donna Keen of Indianapolis, IN and Jessica M. Canary of Indianapolis, IN; 3 Grandsons: Brevin Canary Baker, Dalton and Cameron Keen; 3 Sisters: Iris Nedoba of New Albany, IN, Norma (Jack) Scott of Greenville, IN, and Patricia (Paul) Coffman of Starlight, IN. Jeffrey is also preceded in death by 2 Brothers, James Donald and George D. Canary. Calling hours for Jeffrey will be from 4-8pm, Monday, April 6, 2009 and from 10-11am, Tuesday, April 7, 2009 all at Jones Family Mortuary. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:30pm, Monday, April 6, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 11am, Tuesday, April 7, 2009. David Gibson will officiate the service and Jeffrey will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
