Jeanette (Mills) Hendren, 91, Plainfield, passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 8, 2014. Jeanette was born to James S. and Ethel I. (Copeland) Mills on May 28, 1922 in Indianapolis. Jeanette was a 1940 Decatur Central High School Graduate. Jeanette married Alvin H. "Bill" Hendren on April 30, 1960. Jeanette was a Homemaker. Jeanette an avid artist, she had many passions and interests, including art, music, flowers, birds and fishing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She has lived in Florida for 10 years, Lebanon for 10 years and her birthplace of Indianapolis for most of her life. Jeanette is survived by a daughter, Terry (Bob) Meyer of Plainfield; a brother, Bill (Karen) Mills of Indianapolis; two grandsons, Jim (Debbie) Meyer and Bobby Meyer; a great grandson, Levi Meyer and a great granddaughter, Madelyn Meyer. Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, James & Ethel Mills; spouse, Alvin "Bill" Hendren; previous spouses, Harold "Bud" Moore and Hershel Davis and a brother, Jean C. Mills. Family and friends may attend calling hours from 4-7 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2014 and 9-10 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Charles Paxton will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary. Jeanette will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimers Association, 50 E. 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46209-4830 or American Heart Association, Midwest Affiliate, Attn: Memorial/Tribute Processing Center, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
