James E. "Jamie" Starkey Jr., 44, of Mooresville, passed away Monday, March 10th, 2025. He was born May 23rd, 1980 in Indianapolis to his parents James E. and Mary Elaine (Graham) Starkey Jr.
Jamie is survived by his daughter, Makayla Bratcher (Nicolas) of Mooresville; his son, Brian Starkey of Mooresville; his father, James E. Starkey Sr.; one sister, Cari Beasley (Billy) of Mooresville; brother, Ryan Starkey (Jayce) of Mooresville; nieces and nephews: Devon, Payton, Trey, Neveah, Cole, Dawson, Mackenzie, Maddie, and Willow; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jamie is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elaine Starkey and grandparents.
Jamie went to Plainfield High School and was really proud when he got his Class A CDL. He loved his job as a truck driver with Walker Bob Cat Service, hauling heavy equipment, and he never missed a chance to chat about it. Jamie had a great time playing pool and hanging out with his family, especially at cookouts. He also enjoyed playing volleyball and loved spending time at the lake with everyone. Watching his kids play sports when they were little was something he really looked forward to. Known for being outgoing, funny, and always happy, Jamie went after everything he wanted and was a very smart man.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 12 to 1 pm on Friday, March 21st at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm following visitation at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
