James C. "Tooter" Scott, 67, of Indianapolis, IN, died on Sunday, May 1, 2011. James was born to George C. Scott & Ada Belle (Kilman) Scott on June 3, 1943 in Kettle, KY. He married Ledona N. (Turner) Scott on July 30, 1966.
Before retiring in 1997, he was an Inspector for Allisons Plant 5 for 30 years. He has lived in Indianapolis, IN for 47 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Indianapolis, IN. He enjoyed horse racing, bingo and going to the river boat.
He is survived by 3 children, James N. (Debbie) Scott of Indianapolis, IN, Tina M. (Doug) Clements of Camby, IN and Randy L. Scott of Indianapolis, IN; 5 grandchildren; 1 brother, J.C. Scott of KY; 4 sisters, Annie Scott of KY, Ruby Scott of KY, Wanda Scott of KY & Kathy Stark of KY.
James is preceded in death by his parents, George C. Scott & Ada Belle (Kilman) Scott; wife, Ledona N. (Turner) Scott, 1 son, Paul L. Scott and 1 brother, Cobb Scott.
Calling will be from 2-8pm, Tuesday, May 3, 2011 and 12-1pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary. Billy Gott will officiate the 1pm funeral service on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary. James will be laid to rest in Floral Park Cemetery.
