James Pierson

James M. Pierson, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2016 with family by his side. James was born to James H. and Ruth E. (Ladd) Pierson on May 15, 1954 in Indianapolis. He graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1972 and attended the Herron School of Art.

James was a Livestock and Grain Farmer for most of his life. He was an avid antique collector and enjoyed art, karaoke, music and nature. He loved spending time with family and friends. He lived in Indianapolis for most of his life and 20 years in Plainfield.

James is survived by four children, Julie Heather of Clayton, Sarah (Adam) Beck of Clayton, James (Elaine) Pierson of New Palestine, Hannah Rapp of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Kayla, Lily, Willow, Brianne, Evalee, James; former wife and special friend, Nava Rapp; three siblings, JoAnn Thompson, Charles Ladd Pierson and Nancy Bill. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Wayne Pierson and first wife, Phyllis Hubbard.

There will be a 2 p.m. celebration of life graveside service for James on Friday, October 14, 2016 in White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville with Brent Bill officiating.
