James Mann

James E. Mann Jr., 66, of Martinsville, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2016. He was born to James E. and Thelma (Green) Mann on July 13, 1950 in Beech Grove. He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1968. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Carol J. (Boardman) Mann on August 11, 1979.

James worked in the shipping and receiving department of Capital Adhesives in Mooresville for 10 years, retiring in 2011. He loved fishing, camping and being outdoors. He lived in Martinsville for the past 29 years, 8 years in Marwood and lived most of his life in Camby.

James is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carol Mann of Martinsville; two daughters, Melissa Starnes of Martinsville, Staci (Dan) Morgan of Springville; five grandchildren, Alexander and Addison Starnes, Austin, Rachel and Nathaniel Morgan; and a brother, Eugene Mann of Camby. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 and 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Josh Hess will officiate James's celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Jones Family Mortuary. James will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
