James K. King, 80, of Mooresville, passed away Wednesday, December 4th, 2024. He was born October 1st, 1944 in Paoli, Indiana to his parents Ray and Flo (McDonald) King. He was married to the late Marilyn (Moon) King and had previously been married to Linda (Scotten) King. He was raised in Paoli and most recently resided in Mooresville.
James is survived by his son, Jamie King (Lori) of Mooresville; two grandsons: Jesse King and Devin King; two step-grandchildren: Austin and Sarah McGuire; one brother, Ronnie King; and ex-wife and good friend, Linda (Scotten) King.
James is preceded in death by both parents; his wife, Marilyn (Moon) King; two brothers; and one sister.
James served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, embodying bravery and commitment. As a self-employed handyman, he turned his passions for working on cars and motorcycles into a fulfilling calling. His time at the casino brought joy and excitement, reminding everyone to embrace life's little pleasures. Known for his kind heart and great personality, James inspired those around him to find the good in every moment.
