James Julius Elliott II, 83 years of age went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 19, 2010. He was born March 5, 1927 in New Rochelle, NY to the late James Julius Elliott Sr. and Alicia (Lobo R.) Elliott. James married Margaret (Frazier) Elliott on March 11, 1950. He lived in New Rochelle, NY for 4 years; Indianapolis, IN for 40 years, and in Bowling Green, IN for 39 years. He was a Farmer, School Bus Driver, and a Volunteer Fireman in Decatur Township for 20 years. He moved to Bowling Green, IN in 1971, where he farmed another 39 years. He also served as Trustee in Marion Township from 1994 to 2010. James was a member of the Patricksburg United Methodist Church and the West Newton Masonic Lodge #707. He also attended Decatur Central High School and was an Army Veteran from WWII. He is survived by his Wife, Margaret Elliott of Bowling Green, IN; 5 Children: Diana Roberts of Monrovia, IN, Janet (Bobby) Rainey of Indianpolis, IN, Sheryl (Richard) Garrett of Terre Haute, IN, James (Jackie) Elliott of Bowling Green, IN, and Karen (Ray) Walden of Cloverdale, IN; 13 Grandchildren; and 28 Great Grandchildren. James is preceded in death by 2 Brothers, Edward Elliott and Joseph Thurman; and 1 Sister, Marguerite Yoon. There will be calling hours for James Julius Elliott II from 3-8pm, Thursday, April 22, 2010 and from 10-11am, Friday, April 23, 2010 all at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. The Funeral will be at 11am, Friday, April 23, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. Nadine Woolfe will officiate the service and James will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Patricksburg Fire Department or the Patricksburg United Methodist Church.
