James Hadley

James "Jim" Hadley, 87, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully at his home on July 2, 2022. Jim was born in Mooresville on July 27, 1934 to Verlin and Doris (Gutherie) Hadley. Jim married Martha "Marty" (Record) Hadley on January 28, 1961. Jim was a 1953 graduate of Mooresville High School. He served in the United States Navy reserves for six years. He was a Pipe Fitter for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis for over 40 years before retiring in 1993. Jim was a member of Plainfield Christian Church and was a 50 year member of the Mooresville Masonic Lodge #78. Jim is survived by his wife, Martha "Marty" Hadley of Mooresville; two children: Steven Hadley of Plainfield and Suzanne (Bryan) Prilliman of Mooresville; three grandchildren: Ashley (Cory) Dickerson, Abbey Prilliman and Ethan Prilliman and five great grandchildren. Jim is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elizabeth Lively and sister in law, Ellen McDaniel. Private graveside services are being held at West Newton Cemetery.
