James Anderson

James L. Anderson, 84, of Mooresville, IN, died on October 24, 2011. James was born to James N. & Ova M. (Watkins) Anderson on October 29, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN. He was a 1944 Decatur Central High School Graduate. He was a Navy World War II Veteran. He married Norma Jean (English) Anderson on November 16, 1946. Before James retired in 1984, he was a Stock Chaser for Allison Detroit Diesel Plant #5 for 32 years. He has lived in Mooresville, IN since 1953 and his birthplace of Indianapolis, IN for 27 years. He was a member of Monrovia Christian Church. He loved automobiles & working outside. He especially loved spending time with the grandchildren and their activities. James is survived by his wife, Norma Jean (English) Anderson of Mooresville, IN; 4 children, LaDonna (Mike) Edwards of Monrovia, IN, James "Nick" (Sherrie) Anderson of Indianapolis, IN, Craig D. (Kristi) Anderson of Indianapolis, IN, Cheryl A. (Don) Coonce of Indianapolis, IN; 4 grandchildren, Jeff (Stefanie) Trammell, Josh (Julie) Anderson, Brian Anderson & Cara (Ryan)Bennett and 6 great grandchildren. James is preceded in death by his parents, James N. & Ova M. (Watkins) Anderson; 1 brother, John Anderson; 2 sisters, Mary Braun & Elizabeth Stanley. Calling will be from 4-8pm, Thursday, October 27, 2011 and 1-2pm, Friday, October 28, 2011 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next to Jones Family Mortuary.
