Jack Louis Brown, 89, of Mooresville, passed away Tuesday, September 24th, 2024. He was born August 22nd, 1935 in Indianapolis to his parents Erbie Edward and Neva (Chapman) Brown. He married Virginia Lee (Jones) Brown on September 10th, 1954.
Jack is survived by his wife, Virginia Brown of Mooresville; two children: Jeff Brown (Susan) of Camby and Jodi Wood of Mooresville; four grandchildren: Jami Martin (Matt), Josh Brown (Sara), Jeremy Bartlett (Kyla), and Erin Brown; and seven great grandchildren: Breanna Brown, Jackson Brown, Jalen Judy, Brooklynn Bartlett, Raelynn Bartlett, Corbin Martin, and Easton Bartlett. Jack is preceded in death by both of his parents; and two sisters: Margie Vann and Mary Jane Richey.
Jack was a 1953 graduate of Decatur Central High School where he served as Class Treasurer. He later obtained his Associate's degree from Indiana Business College. He also served in the National Guard during the Korean War. Jack was Co-Owner and Operator of B&B Auto Sales in Greenwood since 1990. He was a member of the West Newton Masonic Lodge #707. Being a vintage auto enthusiast, Jack was a 40 plus year member of the International Edsel Club. He was known by many as the best father, grandfather, great grandfather, and husband that anyone could possibly have.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, October 2nd at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A celebration of life memorial service will be held following visitation at 7 pm at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
