Irma J. (Laughlin) Morris, 88, of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2019. She was born to Harvey and Fern (Ashcraft) Laughlin on December 7, 1930 in Dugger, IN. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1948.
Irma is survived by a loving son, Ron Morris of Indianapolis; four loving grandchildren, Rebecca, Bryan, Kristina and Eric; and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dale Laughlin; and a sister, Barbara King.
Irma was a Secretary for Allison Transmission in Indianapolis for 32 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of West Newton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, going to the theater, reading and jigsaw puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking them to the zoo and museums. She moved around southern Indiana as a child but lived in Indianapolis for most of her life.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 12-2 p.m. on Monday, March 11th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville with Irma's celebration of life service starting at 2 p.m. She will be buried at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
