Irene Henderson

Irene Henderson, 92 of Clayton, IN passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2007. She was born in Bowling Green, KY on February 20, 2007 to the late Samuel Goad Sr. and the late Belle (Estes) Goad. Irene married William Russell Henderson on November 27, 1937. She lived in Clayton, IN since 1950 and in Indianapolis, IN for 19 years and in Monrovia, IN for 4 years. She was a member of the Monrovia Nazarene Church; she was involved in the Hazlewood Community Circle, enjoyed canning, quilting and sewing. Irene was also a Homemaker. Irene was survived by 2 Children: Shirley (Harlos) Phelps of Clayton, IN and Thomas (Carolyn) Henderson of Plainfield, IN; 3 Grandchildren: Don Scholl, Brad (Cathy) Henderson and Kelley (Mark) Branchfield; 1 Great Grandson, Wes Branchfield; 1 Foster Son, Stephen (Jeri)Stranger of Indianapolis, IN; 1 Foster Daughter, Bonnie Wessel of Indianapolis, IN; 65 other Foster Children; Brother: Samuel Goad Jr. of Greencastle, IN; and 1 Sister, Hazel Estes of Indianapolis, IN. Calling hours for Irene will be from 4-8pm, Thursday, May 10, 2007 and the Funeral will be at 10am, Friday, May 11, 2007 both at Jones Family Mortuary. Brian Fleenor will be officiating the service. Irene will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Hall, IN.
