Helen Steward

Helen B. Steward, 88, of Plainfield, IN, died July 24, 2008. She was born on December 21, 1919 in Worthington, IN to the late Robert and Laura (Cullison) Hunter. She married the late Gerald L. Steward on November 5, 1938. She was a member of the Camby Community Church and Prospect Order of the Eastern Star #452. She worked as a Beautician for L.S. Ayres for 5 years and in the Capsule Department for Eli Lilly for 5 years before becoming a homemaker. She is survived by a son, Jerry L. Steward of Plainfield, IN; a daughter, Sondra S. Jones of Plainfield, IN; 5 Grandchildren, Tina Delph, Tiffany Alexander, Jeri Steward, Jake and Jesse Jones; 5 Great Grandchildren, Tiarra, Tirzah, Tarryn and Tristyn Delph and Brayden Alexander. She is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Juanita Newman and Winona Grounds and 3 brothers: Paul, Garrett, and Theodore Hunter. Visitation will be from 2-7pm, Sunday, July 27, 2008 and 1-2pm, Monday, July 28, 2008 before the 2pm Funeral Service. Charles Paxton will officiate the funeral.
