Harold E. Wratten, 87 of Carmel, IN passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007. He was born April 3, 1981 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Alva C. Wratten and the late Helen Edna (Myers) Payne. He married the late Evalena (Hendricks) Wratten on December 19, 1981. He was previously married to the late Dorothy Pearson.
He has lived in Indianapolis, In for most of his life and in Mooresville, IN for 15 years. He was a 1939 Arsenal Tech High School Graduate and also attended 2 years at Lane Drafting College in Indianapolis, IN. Harold was a World War II Veteran. He was a 50 year member of the Seerley Creek Christian Church, 50 member of the Indianapolis Masonic Lodge # 669, West Newton Eastern Star #489, and Decatur Township Lions Club. Before retiring in 1982, he was a Machinest for Link Belt in Indianapolis, IN for 39 years.
Harold is survived by 4 Children: Patricia Jones of Carmel, IN, Nancy Vandoski of Greenwood, IN, John L. Wratten, and Barbara Denmark of Reno, NV; 2 Step-Children, Dana Newkirk of Indianapolis, IN and Gary Fortner of Indianapolis, IN; 9 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter.
Calling hours for Harold will be from 3-6pm, Thursday, May 3, 2007 with the funeral will be at 6:00pm, Thursday, May 3, 2007 both held at Jones Family Mortuary. Monte Martin will be officiating the service. Harold will be laid to rest at Carmichael Cemetery in Bloomfield, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Seerley Creek Christian Church.
