Harold F. Goforth, 94, of Mooresville, IN, died on January 18, 2012. Harold was born to Benjamin "Harry" Goforth and Fernanda(May) Goforth on September 20, 1917 in Butlerville, IN. Harold graduated from Butlerville High School in 1935 and earned his Bachelor Degree in Engineering from Purdue in 1940. Harold was a Navy World War II Veteran. Harold married Glenna R. (Cox) Goforth on July 2, 1949. Harold was an Engineer for William F. Freije, Inc. for 26 years, retiring in 1985. He was a Member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Mooresville, IN. He was life member of both the Mooresville VFW Post 1111 and Mooresville American Legion #103. He has lived in Mooresville, IN for the past 6 years, West Newton, IN for 56 years, Indianapolis, IN for 4 years and his birthplace of Butlerville, IN for 29 years. Harold is survived by his wife, Glenna R. (Cox) Goforth of Mooresville, IN; 5 sons, Howard F. Goforth of CA, David L. Goforth of Indianapolis, IN, Philip N. Goforth of MS, Nathan A. Goforth of WA, Paul W. Goforth of KS; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren;1 sister, Wilma Cruser of Westport, IN. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin "Harry" & Fernanda (May) Goforth; a daughter, Rena Dawn Goforth Hatfield and a brother, William Goforth. Visitation will be from 2-7pm, Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN and 10-11am, Monday, January 23, 2012 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Mooresville, IN. Pastor Brandon Sichting will officiate the 11am funeral service on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Harold will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
