Harold Christy

Harold Emerson Christy, 89, of Mooresville, IN passed away Monday, February 13, 2006. He was born January 9 , 1917 in Indianapolis to the late Jean Paul and Carrie Eva (Hennemann) Christy. Harold resided in Mooresville since 1994, formerly of Poland, IN for 5 years and Indianapolis for 72 years. He was a 1935 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School and a 1965 Graduate of Ball State University with a Masters Degree. He was also a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army during WWII before retiring in 1983, He was a school teacher at Warren Township Schools for 13 years and Lawrence Township Schools for 5 years. Previously he was a Salesman for Adams-Rogers Lumber Company and Milwork in Indianapolis for 16 years. Harold was a member of the St. Johns United Church of Christ in Cumberland, IN LIfe member of Mooresville American Legion Post #103, 50 year Prospect Masonic Lodge #714, and the SCotish Rite-Indianapolis Valley. Harold is survived by his wife, Betty (Sheets) Morrow Christy of Mooresville, whom he married April 22, 1988 in Mooresville; daughters: Carol Dian Shadle of Fishers and Myra Jean Buschmeier of Indianapolis, granddaughter, Linda Diane Buschmeier of Indianapolis; grandson, Keith Wesley Shadle of Alaska; step-sons, Dennis Morrow of OK and Randy Morrow of Greenwood; 6 step-grandchilren, 4 step-great-grandchildren; and brother, Jean Paul Christy Jr. of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held 10am Friday, February 17, 2006 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville, with calling there one hour prior to service and 3-8pm, Thursday, February 16, 2006. Dennis Frische-Mouri will officiate services. Burial will be in Whitelick cemetery, Mooresville.
