Gregory Blane Secrest

Gregory Blane "Greg" Secrest, 65, of Mooresville, passed away Monday, February 6th, 2023. He was born October 9th, 1957 in Northwood, North Dakota to his parents Robert R. and Lavaun B. (Wiley) Secrest. He married Rita J. (Howard) Secrest on December 31st. 1982. He was a member of Mooresville for most of his life.

Greg is survived by his wife, Rita J. (Howard) Secrest of Mooresville; two children: Tyler D. Secrest of Mooresville and Kayla B. Secrest of Mooresville; three grandchildren: Mason Cassatt, Jackson Secrest, and Avery Person; two brothers: Steve Secrest and David Secrest; and three sisters: Pat Greathouse, Beverly Secrest, and Sandy Secrest. Greg is preceded in death by both of his parents; and one brother, Larry Secrest.

Greg was a 1975 graduate of Martinsville High School. He was a Mechanic for Southside Landfill in Indianapolis for 34 years. Greg was a member of Mooresville Eagles Lodge #3988 where he was an Eagle Rider. Furthermore, he was a member of Monrovia Masonic Lodge #654. He was also a member of ABATE. Greg enjoyed playing pool, throwing darts, and loved riding his Harley.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, February 15th and from 10 to 11 am on Thursday, February 16th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, February 16th following visitation at the funeral home. Greg will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
