Gregory Alan Bowden

June 30, 1950 — January 29, 2024

Gregory Alan "Greg" "Red" Bowden, 73, of Paragon, passed away Monday, January 29th, 2024. He was born June 30th, 1950 in Indianapolis to his parents, Louis Glenn and Marilea "Joey" (Adams) Bowden. He married Nancy E. (Burdine) Bowden on September 19th, 1976.

Greg is survived by his wife, Nancy E. (Burdine) Bowden of Paragon; one daughter, Emmalea Malott (Justin) of Paragon; two granddaughters: Tatym Malott and Teagyn Malott; and one sister, Lola Stephens of North Salem. Greg is preceded in death by both of his parents; and one grandson, Mason Malott.

Greg was a 1968 graduate of North Salem High School. He worked for General Motors Allison Division for 31 years before retiring in 2007. Greg was a Volunteer Firefighter and Ambulance Driver for Eel River Township. He was also on the Precinct Committee for Guilford Township. Greg was a member of Springhill Christian Center in Mooresville. He was a very passionate Indiana University basketball fan and loved attending their home games. Greg was also a big Chicago Cubs fan, he loved his Cubbies.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday, February 2nd at Springhill Christian Center, 12150 N Rooker Rd, Mooresville, IN 46158. A celebration of life will be held at 1 pm following visitation at the church. Greg will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant at Hall Cemetery in Hall, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made in Greg's memory to Springhill Christian Center Mission Fund or Building Fund, 12150 N. Rooker Road, Mooresville, Indiana 46158.
