Grace E (Little) Cummings, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, August 29th, 2020. She was born January 14th, 1927 in Moodyville, Tennessee to her parents Webster and Elva (Byrd) Little. She married Reverend Odus R. Cummings on November 2nd, 1946. She was a resident of Indianapolis since 1951. Grace is survived by her three loving children: Alice Cummings of Washington D.C., Cheryl (Cummings) King of Indianapolis, and Danny Cummings of California; and two sisters: Louise Little and Jennive Crevison. Grace is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Reverend Odus R. Cummings; two sisters: Geri Duncan and Idell Winningham; and four brothers: Cecil Little, Castle Little, Norman Little and Reuben Little. Grace was a graduate and Valedictorian of Pickett County High School in Moodyville, Tennessee. She was a proud Homemaker and mother. She was a member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Grace enjoyed making beautiful quilts and loved flower gardening. Family and friends may show their love and support from 1 to 2 p.m, on Saturday, September 5th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Elder Jeremy Collins, Pastor of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate a celebration of life service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 5th at the funeral home. Grace will be laid to rest next to her husband, Reverend Odus R. Cummings at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton.
