Glen Mcgown

Glen R. (Pete) McGown, 79 years old passed away Friday, July 6, 2007. He was born October 10, 1927 in Martinsville, IN to the late Ernest McGown and the late Sarah (Hamilton) McGown. He also married Betty (Bastin) McGown on May 29, 1949. Pete has lived in Clayton, IN for most of his life and was a Coast Guard in World War II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and horseback riding when he was young. He was a life time Farmer and Seed Corn Salesman for Great Heart Seed for many years. He was also a Truck Driver for Maplehurst and Hygrade in Indianapolis, IN for several years. He is survived by his Wife, Betty (Bastin) McGown of Clayton, IN; 1 Daughter, Milly (Richard)Gangwer of Plainfield, IN; 2 Granddaughters: Petrina McNeil of Clayton, IN and Tracy Tanselle of Sheridan, IN; and 2 Great Granddaughters: Paisley and Peyton Tanselle. Calling hours for Pete will be from 2-8pm, Monday, July 9, 2007 with the funeral beginning at 10am, Tuesday, July 10, 2007 both held at Jones Family Mortuary. Marcus Dodrill and Sam Stewart will be officiating the service and Pete will be laid to rest at Center Valley Cemetery in Clayton, IN.
