Gladys Ramsey

Gladys Ilene Ramsey, 77 of Martinsville, IN passed away Friday, April 25, 2008. She was born March 10, 1931 in Sneedville, TN to the late Lawrence A. Daniels and the late Sara Elizabeth (Rhea) Daniels. Gladys has lived in Indianapolis, IN for most of her life and also in Sneedville, TN for 18 years. She graduated from Sneedville High School in 1949. Gladys was a member of the Pioneers of America and she worked as an Assembly Line Worker for Western Electric in Indianapolis, IN and also in Winston Salem, NC. Gladys is survived by 3 Sons, Terry Ramsey of Indianapolis, IN, Allen Ramsey of Mooresville, IN, and Chris Ramsey of Martinsville, IN; 8 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Sisters, Marie Caldwell of Hixson, TN and Nell Schofield of Bulls Gap, TN. She is also preceded in death by 2 Brothers, Herbert Daniels and Harold Daniels. Calling hours for Gladys will be from 2-8pm, Sunday, April 27, 2008 and the Funeral will be at 10am, Monday, April 28, 2008 both held at Jones Family Mortuary. Tony Cannon will officiate the service and Gladys will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
