George Terry

George Wilson Terry, 93, of Indianapolis died Thursday September 29, 2005. George was born to the late Horrace Davis Terry and Hattie Dee (Baker)Terry on June 14, 1912 in Indianapolis. George married the late Mary Velma (Winings) on September 29, 1935. George was a Distributor for Saps Bakery for 12 years and retired in 1977. Previously, he was a Milk Hauler for Maplehurst Dairy for 19 years and he was also a farmer in Decatur Township for most of his life. Mr. Terry was a member of the Church By The Side Of The Road in Indianapolis, he was a 50 year member of West Newton Masonic Lodge #707, W.B.C.C.I. Air Stream Club, Foster parent of the Childrens Bureau of Indianapolis for 25 years. George Wilson Terry left behind a legacy of giving to Family and Community. He is survived by 4 children: Robert Dale Terry of Indianapolis, Sara (Bob) Gentry of Thorntown, Carol Ross of Greenwood, and Gretchen (Andy)Smith of Indianapolis. He was also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded by 2 sisters. Visitation will be Monday, October 3, 2005 from 3pm-8pm. The service will be Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 11am with Rev. Willis Howard officiating. The burial will be at West Newton Cemetery.
