Geoffrey Rourke

Geoffrey James Rourke, 86 years of age passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009. He was born December 29, 1922 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to the late James and Winnifred (Whillier) Rourke. Geoffrey had a previous spouse, Mary Rourke. He married Elsie (Calhoon) Rourke of Mooresville, IN on May 6, 1989. He has lived in Mooresville, IN since 1990 and in Indianapolis, IN for 30 years. He was a 1950 Ontario Veterinary College Graduate and was a World War II Canadian Navy Veteran in the North Atlantic. He also attended Flemming Garden Christian Church. Before retiring in 1995, he was a Small Animal Veterinarian for All Pet Veterinary Hospital in Indianapolis, IN for 30 years. He is survived by his Wife, Elsie (Calhoon) Rourke of Mooresville, IN; 4 Children: Russell (Anna) Rourke of Indianapolis, IN, James (Melissa) Rourke of Brownsburg, IN, Jacqueline (Paul) Bromley of Canada, and Lou-Ellen (George) Day of Indianapolis, IN; 16 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; and Previous Spouse, Mary Rourke of Canada. He is also preceded in death by 2 Sisters, Shirley and Barbara Rourke and 1 Brother, Terry Rourke. Calling hours for Geoffrey will be from 4-7pm, Friday, August 7, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. The Funeral will be at 7pm, August 7, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. Don Thomas will officiate the service and Geoffrey will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wheeler Mission in Indianapolis, IN.
