Garry Lane

Garry F. Lane, 62, of Darlington, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2016 with family by his side. Garry was born to George A. Lane and Jacqueline (Grigsby) Padgett on November 11, 1954 in Indianapolis. Garry was in the Center Grove High School class of 1973.

For the past 22 years, Garry has worked for Subaru in Lafayette with his most recent position in Process Control. He loved spending time with family and friends. He loved being outdoors and traveling to the beach, especially Englewood Beach, FL. He enjoyed tinkering with RC Cars and restoring his Jeep. He lived in Darlington for the past 20 years and previously resided in the Greenwood area for 30 years.

Garry is survived by his father, George Lane of Fairland; a brother, George (Nancy) Lane III of Indianapolis; a sister, Dixie Hoopengarner of Martinsville; two daughters, Jessica N. and Alicia D. Lane; a son, Caleb C. Lane of Darlington; special friend and former wife, Kathleen Mundell of Darlington; and six grandchildren. Garry is preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Padgett.

Family and friends may gather for calling hours from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 and 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Billy Gott will officiate Gary's celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Jones Crossing Banquet Center. Garry will be laid to rest in Daugherty Cemetery, Columbus.
