Garland Joseph Samuels

Garland Joseph Samuels, 72, of Mooresville, passed away Saturday, March 23rd, 2024. He was born October 16th, 1951 in Indianapolis to Garland and Josephine (Bishop) Samuels. He married Brenda Sue (Scalf) Samuels on October 25th, 1974.

Garland is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue (Scalf) Samuels of Mooresville; one daughter, Stephanie L. Samuels - Nix (Donald J.) of Indianapolis; one son, Clinton J. Samuels of Mooresville; four grandchildren: Donald A. Nix (Dakota Moore), Ryder J. Nix, Elizabeth I. Nix, and Lucille S. Nix; three great grandchildren: Nova L. Nix, Jacob A. Nix, and Jessie J. Nix; one sister, Patricia A. Lynn of Brooklyn; one brother, Frank Samuels (Becky) of Mooresville, and one brother-in-law, Jeff Scalf.

Garland is preceded in death by both of his parents and one brother, William Samuels.

Garland was a 1970 graduate of Martinsville High School. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the Army. He worked as a salesman in the manufacturing industry for many years. Garland retired from American Fasteners in 2010, after working hard for so many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gold panning. Garland also kept busy with metal detecting, mushroom hunting, photography, and loved listening to metal rock music. He was known to be a very loving and strong individual.

Family and friends may show their love and support on Friday, March 29th, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Jones Family Mortuary, in Mooresville.
