Floyd D. Trischler, 79 of Camby, IN passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008. He was born August 31, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Edward and Margaret (Sirlin) Trischler. He married Carolina (De La Torre) Edwards-Trischler of Camby, IN in August of 2000.
He has lived in Camby, IN for 8 years, Pittsburgh, PA for 34 years, San Diego, CA for 8 years, Mooresville, IN for 10 years, Plainfield, IN for 15 years, and spent winters in Cancun, Mexico for 30 years. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and he started his post graduate studies at San Diego State University. Floyd is a Veteran from the Korean War and was discharged in 1953. He was a member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Mooresville VFW, Mooresville Masonic Lodge, and the Indianapolis Valley Scottish Rite. Before retiring in 2001, he was Owner and Operator off Guadalupe Builders and Iroquois Real Estate in Plainfield, IN for 30 years.
Floyd is survive by his Wife, Carolina (De La Torre) Edwards-Trischler of Camby, IN; 6 Children: Thomas Trischler of California, John Trischler of Brooklyn, IN, Nannette Moneck of Plainfield, IN, Annette Youngblood of Florida, Rene Trischler of Virginia, and Denise Mejean of Avon, IN; 17 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters, Reynelda Breedlove of Idaho and Donna Lee Walters of Oregon; and Several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.
There will be a Memorial Service for Floyd at 10am, Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at St. Thomas More Church. Memorial Contributions may be made to help with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
