Florence Alice "Susie" Arnold

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Florence Alice "Susie" Arnold, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on December 28, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on October 5, 1937 to her parents Raymond R. and Alice A. (Kirsch) Fletcher Sr., in Indianapolis, Indiana, Florence was a devoted member of her family, her warmth and kindness forever etched in the hearts of all who knew her.

Susie attended Decatur Central High School, a place where her resilient spirit began to shine. For 16 years, she worked diligently in Production Assembly at Western Electric, and briefly served as an Auditor for the Indiana Department of Revenue, bringing her strong work ethic to every endeavor. A proud past member of the RV Club and Bethany Wesleyan Church, she nurtured her community spirit while never being far from the joys of family gatherings.

Florence was an artist at heart, showcasing her love for crocheting and various crafts. Her laughter echoed during family games of euchre, and her spirit thrived in nature, whether she was camping, boating, or basking in the beauty of Lake Lemon. Above all, she was the heart of her family, a constant source of love, support, and cherished memories.

She is survived by her children: Daniel Arnold, Amelia Browder (Tim), Belinda Scott (John), and Earl Thomas Arnold (Kim), daughter-in-law, Beverly Arnold, along with ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through her brother, Raymond Fletcher Jr. (Diane), sister-in-law, Phyllis Fletcher, brother-in-law, Rick Arnold (Mary), and countless friends and loved ones who will miss her dearly.

Florence is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Earl Arnold; her son, Curtis Arnold; and her brother, John C. Fletcher. The memory of her beautiful soul will continue to inspire and comfort us.

A celebration of Florence's life will take place with a family and friends coming together on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 4 to 8 pm. A second Public Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10 am, leading into the Funeral Service at 11 am at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. The services will conclude with a Graveside Service at West Newton Cemetery, where Florence will finally rest beside her beloved husband, Earl.

As we gather to honor Florence's remarkable life and legacy, we remember her boundless love, her unwavering generosity, and the unforgettable moments shared. Her spirit will forever remain a guiding light, bringing comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
