Flora M. Henderson

Flora M. (Van Blaricum) Henderson, 83, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Monday, December 12th, 2022. She was born February 12th, 1939 in Indianapolis to her parents George Van Blaricum and Martha (Greene) Benge. She married the late Gerald Lee Henderson on December 12th, 1958.

Flora is survived by one daughter, Anna (Pat) Allen of Camby; one brother, George Van Blaricum of Martinsville; six sisters: Ella Jean Caparo of Punta Gorda, Florida, Mary Jones of Scottsville, Kentucky, Betty Hutto of Poland, Indiana, Terry Van Blaricum of Elijay, Georgia, Georgia Diane of Coatesville, Indiana, and Alice Pedigo of Scottsville, Kentucky; and four grandchildren: Nicholas (Melissa) Allen of Coatesville, Jeffrey (Carrie) Allen of Martinsville, Matthew (Kari) Allen of Plainfield, and Garrett Sears of Bloomington. Flora is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Gerald Lee Henderson; one son, Ricky Sears; three brothers: Richard Van Blaricum, Gary Van Blaricum, and Kenny Van Blaricum; and one sister, Delores Lowe.

Flora was a graduate of Drexel Gardens in Indianapolis. She worked for RCA in Indianapolis for 32 years before retiring in 1994. Flora was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Mooresville, member of American Legion Post #103 Ladies Auxiliary, and member of Moose Lodge #1601. Flora enjoyed gardening and dancing.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
