Evelyn Newton

Evelyn G. Newton 81, Brooklyn, passed away Monday, December 27, 2004 in Homosassa, Florida. She was born October 21, 1923 in Brooklyn to the late William Wallace Jones and Mabel (Jenkins) Jones. She was the widow of Vaughn Newton whom she married on April 29, 1966. Mrs. Newton was a 1942 graduate of Martinsville High School. She was a member of the Martinsville Order of the Eastern Star. Before retiring in 1992, she was a factory worker for Automotive Armature in Mooresville, IN for 30 years. Survivors include three daughters, Vonda K. Weilhammer of Homosassa, FL, Marla M. Wiggins of Mooresville, IN and Andrea L. Meadows of Mooresville, IN; five grandsons, David and Steven Weilhammer, Michael, Christopher and Joseph Meadows; one great-granddaughter, Allison L. Meadows; one sister, Louise Lowry of Brooklyn, IN. Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm Thursday, December 30, 2004 at Jones Family Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 11am Friday, December 31, 2004 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Burial will take place in Brooklyn Cemetery.
