Evelyn Kiewitt

Evelyn Lucile Kiewitt 84, of Glendale, AZ passed away at 12:55 a.m. Sunday, August 14, 2005 in Peoria, AZ of natural causes. She was born September 6, 1920 in Indianapolis to the late Andrew and Bertha (Muegge) Barker. She was a 1938 Graduate of Manual High School. Before retiring in 1977, she was an Administrative Asst. for Interstate Motor Freight System in Indianapolis for several years. She lived in Glendale, AZ for the past 6 years after residing in Indianapolis for 75 years. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Indianapolis, Associate Member of First Presbyterian Church in Ingram, TX, International Brotherhood of Team-sters and the Red Hatter Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Kiewitt, who she married March 27, 1943; and her son, Dennis L. Kiewitt. She is survived by her son, Donald P. Kiewitt of Arnold, MD; daughter, Suellen K. Jones of Phoenix, AZ; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2005 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville, IN with calling there 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2005. Charles Paxton will officiate services. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ in Indianapolis.
