Eugene Prince Crawley

Eugene Prince Crawley, 96, of Mooresville, passed away Friday, August 23rd, 2024. He was born April 1st,1928 in Putnam County, Indiana to his parents Lenox and Luna (Prince) Crawley. He married the late Barbara J. (Davenport) Crawley on June 28th, 1951.

Eugene is survived by his son, David Crawley (Linda) of Loudon, TN; granddaughter, Jennifer Latimore (Kelly); and four great grandchildren: Peyton Jones, Kaden Latimore, Adelyn Gates, and Jaxon Latimore.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Barbara Crawley; grandson, Matthew David Crawley; 7 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Eugene was a 1946 graduate of Cloverdale High School and later joined the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was an inspector for Allison Transmission of Indianapolis for 38 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of Fairfield Friends Meeting Church, as well as a 50+ year member of Plainfield Masonic Lodge #653 and a Member and Officer of Local #933.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 11:00 am to 1:00pm on Friday, August 30th, 2024 at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm following visitation at the funeral home. Eugene will be laid to rest at Fairfield Friends Cemetery in Camby.
