Ernest Jr.

Ernest Lee Tandy Jr., 79, of Camby, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2014. Ernest was born to Ernest Lee Tandy and Enda (Griepenstroh) Shultz on November 14, 1934 in Indianapolis. Ernest was an Army Veteran. Ernest worked in Maintenance at Yellow Freight for 33 years, retiring in 1994. He has lived in Camby for most of his life but lived in Indianapolis during his childhood. He loved fishing and grilling out. Ernest is survived by his mother, Edna Shultz of Mooresville; companion, Nina Mann of Camby; three daughters, Tonya (Jack) Ridgeway of Camby, Debra Vanoy of Indianapolis and Hope Geralds of Plainfield; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Family and friends may attend calling hours from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2014 and 9-10 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Brother Ernie Grimes will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Thursday, August 7, 2014. Ernest will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
